This is a real unique dining experience: sitting right in the middle of a whole commerical fishing fleet, watching all the fishing boats going in and out. The fish is fresh as it can get, you bet. Cortez is one of the last working fishing villages in Florida, and the people here are very special.

The fishermen are very proud, that the placed survived many different times. From the of the little restaurant, which in fact is more a sales stand with a little kitchen, and you have to order the food at the counter, you have an incredible view: you see mangrove islands, Jewfish Key, Longboat Key and Bradenton Beach. Most of the fishes of the menue are harvested by local commercial fishingmen. Mullet, Florida Pompano and Grouper are among the favorites. And other seafood as conch fritters, middle neck clams and shrimps are also available. Don´t miss this spot: bring friends with you and you will really impress them.
